The Sign Center is a division of Midwest Barricade Company Incorporated; a family owned and operated company in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Midwest Barricade was established in 1974 by LeRoy Nordstrom. Before The Sign Center was established as a division of this barricade company, it was actually a small room located inside the building of Midwest Barricade doing strictly rental signs that were used by Midwest Barricade. This small portion of the company was run by one person. As demand grew so did the needs of the sign portion of the Barricade shop and thus The Sign Center was established as a division of Midwest Barricade Company. The small room became a store front not far from the parent company and a computer was finally purchased. As a one person operation, days were long and many signs were produced and sold each day.
